This TOP ranking is based on quality, price and availability, and the wines are evaluated by Wine Spectator tasters throughout the year. All wines are rated 88 points or higher, priced at 20 USD or less and must be produced in large enough quantities to be widely available.

Monte Velho White 2016 is produced using the traditional Alentejo grape varieties Antão Vaz, Roupeiro and Perrum. This wine has a clear citrine colour, with touches of lemon and delicate, fresh white fruit. Firm, intense and balanced on the palate with a long aromatic finish. Fresh and versatile, this wine is perfect for serving with light dishes, like grilled fish, salads and hors d’oeuvres.

Assobio Red 2015 expresses the characteristics of the Quinta dos Murças plot with the same name. Resulting from traditional Douro grape varieties – Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Franca –, this is a fresh, versatile and food-friendly wine with hints of red berries and a long, elegant finish.
